The International Centre Cities on Water is a no-profit Association set up in Venice in 1989, with the aim of developing Activities connected to the water-city relationship.

The Centre also puts out a series of Publications including the quarterly review Aquapolis, in English and Italian, and the monthly newsletter, Città d'Acqua News.The Centre is a promoter of RETE - Association for the Collaboration between Ports and Cities, which publishes the six-monthly review Portus. WiN - Waterfront international Network - has been specially created to facilitate exchange of information concerning urban waterfront regeneration.

In order to provide services for its members, associates and third parties, the Centre now has an operative branch Città d'Acqua Eventi srl.
